I really like this 5 qt colander (I call it the strainer). It is made of stainless steel and is very durable and sturdy. It has a great non-slip handle. The holes are very tiny and tight so that only the water, dirt and sand would be drained out. It has great drainage when I was using this for my pastas, fruits and veggies. It is very easy to clean, just wash and hang it up to dry. I have used the plastic strainers where it's easily broken and needed replacing, but I am confident that this will last for years to come.
